What we offer
In return for your time and commitment we offer:-
- Free entry into the festival or event
- One shift per day (some may be overnight)
- Food, snacks and expenses
- Time off to enjoy the festival and see some of the sights (if you attend the whole event with us, we will endeavour to give you a full day off!)
- Full training package to support your volunteering
- Full induction prior to each event
- 24/7 management support
You will be part of an amazing team of people with different backgrounds and professions, who will support you throughout your time at the event. Hopefully you will wish to carry on your volunteering journey with us and then go on to support new volunteers when they sign up.
The training package we offer includes:-
- Drugs and Alcohol
- How to safeguard vulnerable adults and children
- How to deal with sexual assault/rape
- Patient care – the human approach
- How to recognise and deal with domestic abuse incidents
- Recognising mental health and how to give immediate support
What we need
Events Wellbeing are looking for people who are:-
- Over 18 years old who are kind, considerate, reliable and non-judgemental
- Want to make a positive difference to people’s lives in difficult situations
- Willing to learn and attend relevant training
- DBS checked or willing to obtain a DBS check
- Flexible to work shifts over a 24-hour period
- Willingness to get stuck in and be a supportive member of the team
- Experience of working with vulnerable people is desirable, but not essential as you will receive training prior to each event and during the event
